Focus: Power wash, disinfect, and clean trailers to ensure biosecurity protocols are met. Assist with local contract growers pig care and movement.
Job Assignments:
- Wash Bay:
o Use fire hose to flood shavings and manure out of trailers
o Power wash interior, exterior and side kits of trailers
o Disinfect Trailers
- Pig care:
o Load animals for market from local finishers
o Vaccinate pigs in local finishers
- Compost:
o Pick up deads from sow farms and DFI finishers
o Stock deads in composter
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Hours:
Monday – Friday: 6 am to 5 pm
Saturday/Sunday rotation for chores and dead run
